This site has no accounts. The only personal information we collect is your email address, if you sign up for tide emails.

Tide emails

When you sign up we store your email address, the station you picked and which emails you want. We use them only to send those emails. The list is kept in our Cloudflare database and the emails are sent through Resend. We never sell or share it. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, which deletes your subscription. You can also email hello@tidechartusa.com to be removed.

Conditions reports, votes and favorites

Conditions reports are public and anonymous: we show the tags and note you choose, and the time. Accuracy votes and favorites are stored only as totals per station. To stop spam and double votes we keep a scrambled code made from your IP address that changes every day and can't be turned back into the address. Your list of favorites stays on your own device.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies and collects things like your approximate location, device and the pages you view, not your name or email. You can opt out with Google's opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies. If we add advertising, this page will be updated to name those partners and explain your choices.
